I work with you, applying a whole-person approach to your needs and goals.  I offer a safe space to empower you to address a range of needs.

I am growth-focused, not oriented around a single goal, or desire to simply alleviate your symptoms. 

Together, we will explore the root cause of things that might be holding you back.

It’s from this basis that you’ll learn to apply tools that help you with thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, to realise lasting change.

The Science bit…

Perhaps you feel that your emotional health is out of your control, or that your emotions are running the show, or that life is just not turning out how you hoped: it does not have to be this way.

Neuroscience, neurochemical balance, and neuroplasticity are the evidence-based scientific concepts that underpin our process. 

  • Neuroscience helps you understand what’s happening in your  brain and body

  • Neuro-chemical balance can occur as you recognise and process emotions

  • Neuro-plasticity enables you to literally rewire your neural connections towards healthier patterns of thinking 

Think of a cornfield with a well-worn path through it. 

The path is meandering with twists and turns and points of double backing on itself. The path is easy to walk and gets you through the field because the corn has been well-trodden.

You decide that you want to pass through the cornfield more directly, to do this you need to tread a new path. 

To start with this will be hard work and may feel uncomfortable as you tread the corn down.  The old path might feel easier, but the more you keep taking the new, more direct path the easier it will be come.

With time and regular use of the direct path you will create quicker, easier path to use.


Our brains are like this; from early childhood we develop patterns in the way we respond to situations. 

These patterns create neural networks. As a child these may have been the most adaptive pattern but they are no longer serving us well. 

Amazingly our brains can change and create new neural networks (no matter how old we are!). 

To create change we need to learn a new way to think, respond or behave to situations.  With repetition this forms new neural networks. 

To start with this will feel uncomfortable and ‘wrong’ because our brains aren’t used to it, and the old path will feel safer and more comfortable.

However, with time and practice the new path becomes easier, as the neural network becomes stronger, you start to reap the benefits of the new path.
